Primary Sense synthetic data
Opportunity: explore whether synthetic data could provide a safer testing resource for Primary Sense while applying and testing the Synthetic Health Data Governance Framework in a real Australian primary-care setting.

This project created a secure, integrated health data platform that connects information from general practice and hospitals across Western Sydney, to help clinicians can gain a more complete view of patient care journeys and make better-informed decisions to improve health outcomes.
Opportunity: Over 80% of Australians see their GPs each year, making the information held in general practice the most comprehensive record of the health of all Australians. However, this information is used to a limited degree. How can we enhance public confidence in the secondary use of general practice data for research purposes?
Opportunity: Investigate the value of electronic health data among health sector stakeholders.
Opportunity: Bring together researchers, PHNs and a digital health technology partner to harness near real-time clinical data to help better understand the impact of long COVID on patients and the primary care system.
Opportunity: explore how telehealth and digital technologies could support new models of care in regional Western Australia.
Opportunity: This project sought to harness near real-time electronic general practice (GP) data to provide actionable insights for policy and healthcare decision-making.
Opportunity: Use data to improve medicine selection and dosing for patients suffering renal impairment.
Opportunity: High-quality primary healthcare is fundamental to improving health outcomes, yet Australia lacks a nationally agreed, evidence-based and practical mechanism for measuring quality in general practice and broader primary healthcare settings. The project sought to address this gap by developing a framework for defining, evaluating and improving quality primary care in Australian general practice.
