My professional interest is in exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can be thoughtfully and effectively integrated into the Australian healthcare system—while ensuring the unique perspectives of each health profession are heard, respected, and championed. My focus is on identifying and advocating for profession-specific requirements of AI implementation and use. As human-centred approaches become more central to the AI conversation, it’s vital that we acknowledge the differences between healthcare professions. I believe that including the nuanced characteristics of each profession will assist in unlocking the value and benefit of AI. Without this recognition, we risk overlooking critical needs and requirements, ultimately disempowering the very professionals AI is meant to support. I have a professional interest in co-design—working alongside healthcare professionals to shape AI systems and policies from the ground up. By actively involving those who will use and be impacted by these technologies, we can ensure AI tools are practical, ethical, and supportive of clinical workflows. Drawing on my background in qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting—as well as literature reviewing and document synthesis—I aim to capture and amplify these diverse voices. My goal is to contribute to a future where AI enhances the value and expertise of all healthcare professionals.
