QUEST-VIP: Developing a Digital Interface for Australian General Practice based on the Value-Based Care Framework and Quality, Equity and Systems Transformation in Primary Health Care (QUEST PHC) indicators
Project Participants
Status: Ongoing
Opportunity
The QUEST-VIP project is a high-impact research-industry collaboration addressing a critical gap in Australian general practice through the development and implementation of a digital platform for standardised quality measurement.
QUEST PHC indicators, coupled with standardised approaches to incentivising value-based care, will be operationalised into a digital platform to support the delivery of high-quality, equitable primary care.
QUEST-VIP aims to support General Practices in delivering optimal care, guided by the quintuple aims of healthcare: improving patient experience, enhancing population health, reducing costs, supporting the care team, and promoting health equity.
This project will focus on establishing the evidence base and foundations to support the development and implementation of the QUEST-VIP digital platform. The strength of this project is the collaborative research-to-industry translation pathway that will enable the platform to be efficiently and effectively implemented with real-world impact.
Project Objectives
- To map current evidence through a literature or scoping review to support and inform the design and development of the QUEST-VIP platform through:
a. Cost-benefit analysis in the value-driven care framework
b. Identifying barriers and enablers for platform utilisation and scaling - Translate research findings into industry-relevant insights to inform and disseminate knowledge on the topics described in Pt 1.
- Progress the design and development of the QUEST-VIP platform guided by Pt 1 and Pt 2.
