Evaluating the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for chest radiograph interpretation on clinical decision making in emergency medicine
Project Participants
Status: Ongoing
Opportunity
Determine if AI-assisted detection of pathological findings can improve care delivery and patient outcomes.
Project objective
This project will evaluate Annalise chest radiographs (CXR) in the ED setting. It is based on a collaborative relationship involving Macquarie University, Annalise.ai, as well as Sydney Local Health District and Northern Sydney Local Health District.
The project team hypothesises that the Annalise CXR can support ED clinician decision-making and improve patient outcomes by increasing diagnostic accuracy, reducing treatment delays, and ensure reporting of non-emergent findings.
