Using intelligent decision support for more responsive care, better patient outcomes and greater efficiency
Project Participants
Status: Ongoing
Opportunity
Improve clinical decision support tools for healthcare staff working in hospitals.
Project Objective
This project aims to help clinical staff make better real time decisions when caring for patients. Existing decision support systems currently in use in hospitals come with limited capabilities when it comes to real-time decision support, mobility, and user experience.
The research team will work with Alcidion’s Miya Precision system, which consolidates data from existing records, and provides clinicians with proactive notifications of critical issues.
Staged across a three-year program, researchers will evaluate and optimise the implementation of these decision support tools, mobile apps and dashboards as a means to augment the eMR system.
