Opportunity
Enhance and modify a smartphone app that helps chronically ill Australians manage their medications and develop good adherence behaviours.
Project Objective
This project looks to help reduce incidents of medication errors and non-adherence by patients.
SAMSON, a platform designed specifically to assist with medication management targets cognitive and behavioural aspects of medication adherence.
The app will help chronically ill patients form good medication adherence behaviours and provides ongoing daily adherence support for long-term maintenance of established behaviours.
This research aims to accommodate a wide range of chronic illnesses and develop a ‘companion’ online nurse training platform to facilitate support to enhance medication adherence in low adherers.
