Internship project: The ethical application of AI in health: A desktop review

The objective of this project is to complete a desktop review of available resources (e.g. frameworks, policy documents, and guidelines) for the ethical application of AI in health. The increasing use of AI techniques requires research organisations, ethics committees, and data custodians to be able to assess the ethical and privacy implications of AI techniques, which may differ from causal models typically employed in health research to date. There are several AI strategies and frameworks available publicly, however, to date, none have reviewed or made recommendations specific to the health sector and the highly sensitive nature of health data and information.
