Internship project: Quality and completeness of wearable device data for secondary uses

Opportunity

This Internship Project aims to answer the following research questions:

• What is the quality and completeness of wearable device data for secondary uses such as research, measuring user engagement, understanding disease trajectories, and applying artificial intelligence techniques?
• What are the gaps in currently collected wearable data sets that could be collected to enhance the value of the data for secondary uses?
• How can the strengths and weaknesses of wearable data sets be described so that they can inform the redesign of digital health platforms?

Project Objectives

• Evaluate the quality and completeness of wearable device data for secondary uses such as research, measuring user engagement, understanding disease trajectories and applying artificial intelligence techniques.
• Identify gaps in the currently collected wearable data sets that could be collected to enhance the value of the data for secondary uses.
• Describe the strengths and weaknesses of wearable data for secondary uses.
