Internship project: Creating variables to offer insights into patient equity

Opportunity

The project is centered on feature engineering. In its initial phase, we aim to enhance the quality of the variables utilised for assessing hospital performance and patient outcomes, particularly those linked to patient advantages and disadvantages. The primary objective of the project is to create new variables that can offer insights into patient equity. We will explore various techniques, including stochastic and machine learning methods, in addition to more basic weighted-mean approaches. The intern assigned to this project will receive guidance and support from Beamtree’s healthcare data experts.
