Internship project: Clinician experiences and expectations of a digital wound care model

Opportunity

Sydney LHD will be implementing a digital wound model of care that combines an artificial intelligence wound application and a Wound Care Command Centre that provides clinicians and patients with virtual and face-to-face access to wound specialists. This project is focused on understanding clinicians’ thoughts on the existing wound model of care and how this new model of care can be implemented. The intern(s) will conduct focus groups and interviews with Sydney LHD staff to collect data related to the overarching plan and priorities.

Project Objectives

• Explore health professionals’ experiences with existing wound care models.
• Understand health professionals’ perspectives on how a new wound care model could be implemented effectively.
• Synthesise recommendations on how to implement an artificial intelligence wound care application and integrate it into service delivery.
