The image shows the process of ensuring data quality in Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS). It shows how data is extracted from Information Systems (IS) and processed to identify errors. If errors are found, the data is cleaned; if not, the extraction process is refactored.
The clean, error-free data is then visualized for decision support. This emphasises the critical need for data validation to prevent incorrect decisions due to data entry mistakes and other issues, ensuring the reliability of medical datasets.
These graphics were created by David in collaboration with Graphics et al. as part of a DHCRC visual communication activity.
