A two year project with the aim of developing a best practice framework to enhance public confidence in the secondary use of general practice data for research purposes.
Project Objectives
With respect to the secondary use of general practice data for research purposes:
- Explore the perceptions of key stakeholders including community members, GPs and policy makers regarding acceptable policies and practices
- Identify legal and ethical requirements
- Create training resources for consumers
- Develop a framework that is socially, ethically and legally acceptable.
